Freight elevators for industrial use and marine technology
Our goods elevators are used to transport loads of up to 10 tons or more over several floors. If there are more than two stops to be reached, a simple scissor lift is no longer sufficient; a so-called simplified elevator (goods elevator) is used for the transport height to be reached.
Freight elevators with robust and durable construction
We master all designs of freight elevators with high load capacity. For this reason, you will find a freight elevator or small goods lift from BÜTER Hebetechnik GmbH on many cruise ships, among others, for example, as a service lift for provisioning, for laundry distribution, or for the needs of the engine room.
With our goods lifts, you will find the ideal solution for every requirement. So let us manufacture your new high-capacity goods elevator together.
Applications of our freight elevators
Our elevators can be used in all industries, and can be deployed in both indoor or outdoor areas to transport heavy loads across multiple floors. Our small goods lift is particularly often used in industry and shipping to meet specific requirements for lifting heights for goods.
Features of the freight elevators
Our goods elevators offer customized solutions with high load capacities that are precisely tailored to your specific requirements. The robust and durable design is particularly suitable for use as an industrial elevator at various lifting heights.
The hydraulically driven scissor and column mechanism, equipped with hydraulic cylinders from our own production, ensures safe transport of goods and loads. Plain-bearing solid rollers and low-maintenance plain bearings ensure a long service life and minimal maintenance. The electronic control system is programmed individually according to your wishes.
- Long Service Life: Durable construction of our elevators, as they are exclusively built with high-quality components.
- High Safety: Our lifting equipment is designed for maximum operational safety and complies with the latest safety standards.
- Low Maintenance Costs: thanks to low-maintenance components and technology.
- Durability: Robust construction with high load capacity, resistant to external influences.
- Space Utilization: Space-saving design of the freight lift with high load capacity.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions about Our Freight Elevators
A freight elevator is an elevator specifically designed for transporting heavy or bulky goods between multiple floors. It is frequently used in industry, logistics, production, and shipping to transport loads efficiently and safely.
Whether an elevator shaft is necessary depends on the structural conditions and the specific requirements of the application area. In many cases, it may also be sufficient to secure the stops with appropriate barriers to transport the loads.
Our freight elevators are designed for variable lifting heights and can transport loads across multiple floors as required. The exact height is individually adapted to the project requirements and can be up to 12 m.
For the installation of a freight elevator, a load-bearing and stable building structure is required. Our specialists examine the structural conditions and adapt the design of the freight elevator to the specific requirements of the location.
For freight elevators manufactured according to EN 1570-1 with a maximum of two stops, an accompanying person may accompany the transport of the load. Pure passenger transport is not permitted. For more than two stops, (complex) individual approvals of the system are usually necessary.
Our freight elevators are designed for the safe transport of various heavy goods, including raw materials, machinery, and supplies. The load capacity and elevator size can be flexibly adapted to the respective transport requirements.
Our freight elevators comply with current safety standards, including DIN EN 1570-1, which specifies safety requirements for freight elevators with up to two stops. They are equipped with modern safety mechanisms, and regular maintenance in accordance with legal requirements ensures safe use and transport of loads.
Our experienced service team handles both regular maintenance and repairs. Thanks to our large spare parts warehouse and the ability to manufacture components in-house, we can ensure fast repairs and short downtimes. Maintenance is carried out in accordance with the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV), which prescribes regular inspections for safe elevator systems.
Freight elevators must be regularly safety-inspected in accordance with the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV). This includes a main inspection by a qualified person at least every two years to ensure operational safety and compliance with safety standards.
