Maintenance for ICE 4 Trains in Record Time

Deutsche Bahn’s new ICE 4 plant in Cottbus required technical equipment to support high-frequency maintenance work. The aim was to shorten maintenance times and optimize processes such as changing chassis components.

BÜTER Hebetechnik GmbH designed and supplied several machines that were precisely tailored to the maintenance requirements of the ICE 4 trains. The components for bogies, wheelsets and batteries were seamlessly integrated into the new plant and enable standardized replacement within short cycle times.

The system includes bogie changers including transport bogies, support options for wagon bodies, an autonomous transport vehicle for bogies and other mobile and stationary technology.
